Are Lothian Buses Ridacards valid on East Coast Buses?

Lothian Buses Ridacards are valid in zones A & B only.

Are Day Tickets and Network Day Tickets valid on board East Coast Buses services?

Day Tickets (inc Family Day Tickets) are valid in zones a & b only. Network Day Tickets are valid in all zones.

Are East Coast Buses DAYtickets valid on Lothian Buses?

County Day Tickets are not valid on Lothian Buses. countyPLUS Day tickets are valid on Lothian Buses day services and Edinburgh Trams (except Airport). Network Day tickets are valid on all zones ECB, Lothian Buses, Airlink, Skylink, Edinburgh Trams and are also valid on the following mornings NightHawk, NightBus and Airlink until 0430 hours.

Do I need exact change ready to buy tickets from the driver?

Yes, EastCoastbuses operates an exact fare only policy.

Is CitySmart valid on board East Coast Buses services?

CitySmart is valid in zones A & B only.

Can CitySmart be topped up on board an East Coast Buses vehicle?

CitySmart can be topped up on-bus in zones A & B only.

Are there m-tickets?

Yes, adult single and day ticket are available for purchase through the Transport for Edinburgh app.

Is there a Ridacard for East Coast Buses services?

There is no EastCoastbuses Ridacard however we do offer best value m-ticket bundles for our county and countyPLUS day tickets. Lothian Buses Ridacards are valid in zones a & b, Lothian Country Buses Ridacards are valid in zones C and D – click here for more information.

How can I find out when my bus arrives?

You can pick up EastCoastbuses timetables from any Transport for Edinburgh Travelshops within the Capital.

Bus stop timetables and fares information are displayed at all bus stops along the routes.

You can plan journeys ahead of travelling using the journey planner on this website, as well as the Transport for Edinburgh app, Google Maps and Traveline Scotland.

What are school day services?

During school term time, services 124, 125, 126 and 127 are scheduled to pick up and drop off at Preston Lodge or North Berwick High Schools so that pupils can travel to and from school on time. These services are not exclusively for school pupils – regular passengers can use these services just like any other EastCoastbuses service. If you’re a parent, you can rest assured that your child can travel to and from school reliably. Full details of school term dates can be found at eastlothian.gov.uk.
